Expected participants?

Master and early-stage PhD students with a Bachelor degree in Science or Engineering.

Students who successfully pass the Summer School's evaluation will get a certificate. For students from KU Leuven, the Summer School can be taken up as a 3 ECTS course. Students from other universities who want to include the Summer School in their curriculum have to make arrangements with their university's administration prior to attending the school. 

 

Registration fee

300 euro, which includes accommodation from 9 September until 16 September, as well as breakfast and lunch from Monday to Friday. All participants also get a rental bike to get from the accommodation to the school's venue and the city centre.

 

Payment

Applicants who have received a confirmation that their application was successful, are requested to pay the registration fee before 15 June 2012 through an international bank transfer or by credit card.

Excursion to Ghent on Saturday

  • The bus will leave at 8h30 from De Vesten
  • Guided tour in the morning
  • Lunch included
  • Free time in the afternoon (make sure you have your map with you!)
  • The bus leaves from Ghent at 17h00 and will be back in Leuven around 18h30

Registration

Registration has closed. Local students and staff can attend the lectures without registration.
